Golden Music Fine Strings finds its roots in 1996 when founders Mary Brainerd and Mike Roller opened a music shop in Golden in its present location. They opened with the purpose to serve the Jefferson County and nearby communities’ music needs. As a few years passed, it became apparent that there was a need for a quality student instrument provider in the schools. Building a large following there, they branched into better violins in the late 1990s. Several years of study and build out in the shop led to the 2,000 square foot show room and 2,600 square foot luthier shop and five teaching rooms.
